We are able to see from the poster that this movie is of the thriller and horror genre. We can see this from the colours used. The creator has used colours such as black and red. The colours can be associated with both darkness (black) and blood (red) which both link with the horror theme. The font used also shows that it is of the horror genre as it seems to be decaying at the bottom. The actress on the poster can be seen showing fear. This also shows that the film is of the horror genre.



Venom
The text followed the codes and conventions of a film poster by having a title, billing block and a coming soon tag insisting it is a film. From the poster, we are able to see that the film is of the horror, action and sci-fi genre. We are capable of seeing this as we can see a creature (venom) enlarged on the poster. It is seen to have sharp teeth and eyes and a long tongue. This can be seen as dangerous and link with traits monsters have. In the bottom left corner we can see two creatures fighting which shows there is action in the film. Their alien like appearance also shows that the movie is very sci-fi based.

BBC News Manchester Bombing

The BBC news clip is of breaking news when Manchester Arena had it's bombing attack. This was worthy of being breaking news as it was the biggest event at the time and occurred close to home. Since it was such terrible news, the media pushed the story to the top. Since lives were lost and the event was so unexpected, this attack was talked about for months and lots of different media sources covered the story.
